Workflow Design for a Building Company

The thesis deals with workflow design and its implementation in a construction company. The current state of document management is becoming obsolete and insufficient. Thus the company´s board has approved the realization of workflow system. The aim of this thesis is therefore analysis of company´s related processes and design of a workflow model. In addition, the new model is required to be linked with present financial and managerial accounting systems and allow for future adjustments and modifications. Final output of this thesis consists of workflow process maps, risk assessment, budget and time plan of realization.

The thesis deals with the issue of changes in education from the perspective of one particular system changes in the teaching of mathematics in primary school. The aim of this thesis is to analyze the competencies of leader of changes in education based on the case of implementation Hejný's methods of teaching mathematics in primary schools, with an emphasis on the personality of prof. Milan Hejný. The theoretical part summarizes findings from the literature focused on process management changes and determinants of success changes, people's reactions to the changes. It also deals with personality of leader as the wearer of changes, its characteristics, leadership competency model and its role in the change process. The practical part is based on knowledge from theoretical part and it provides a list of twenty characters of leader, which are divided into five groups. Based on qualitative content analysis of Hejný and his two associates interviews it was possible to decide whether Hejný meets the characteristics of leader of changes in education and to formulate recommendations for other people interested...
Technical Assistance of Change Management Support

The project inspects and discusses improvements of the technical assistance of Change Management support within IT service provider. The primary objective of the procet is to analyse and implement a new software tool to display possible improvements. This project involves whole software development proces including requirements collection, systém analysis, design, implementation. In the first part, the IT service management, especially Change Management area and ITIL methodology is described. In the second part, the analysis of current state of the proces implementation and software tool is discussed and proposed opportunities for improvement. In the end, the results are summarized and possibilities of the future improvements are proposed.

Sales Department Efficiency Increase in Selected IT Company.

Main purpose of this thesis is creation of suggestions leading to sales department efficiency increase. Throughout the theoretical part three main approaches dealing with changes in organizations are introduced. These approaches are Process Management, Lean Management and Change Management. Some of the principles and methods introduced are then applied during suggestions development in the second (practical) part of the thesis. The second part begins with the introduction of the company and selected departments. It is thereafter followed by deep analysis of the current state resulting in main constraints discovery. Based on these findings specific suggestions for its elimination are developed. By elimination of these constraints the efficiency of sales department should be increased. Finally, quantification of expected benefits is performed and compared with the defined objectives.
Post-merger integration

The objective of this thesis is to provide a comparison of theoretical knowledge, mapping processes in the post-merger integration, including the perspective of professionals and an assessment of the post-merger integration in selected company in terms of achieving the objectives of the integration project. Further objective of the thesis includes an analysis of the integration from the perspective of corporate culture, perception of employees and basic information on analyzed acquisition. The primary benefit is to create a theoretical basis for the integration process for further detailed research and theoretical preparation for the implementation of the post-merger integration. At the practical level following thesis should serve as a general guide on how to proceed in this process. The practical part contains a comprehensive analysis of the integration phase and its impact on the selected company, comparison with the best practices and general recommendations. Furthermore the thesis provides a high level perspective on the acquirer's future development and its long-term profile. Research methods were mainly driven by interviews with the management of the company, analysis of internal documents and questionnaire.
